Character set conversion:
!Cvrt (34K) may be used for conversion between the ISO/Latin1 character set, used by RISCOS, and a number of other character sets like IBM850 (MS-DOS), EBCDIC and 7bit ASCII. Conversion includes selectable end-of-line characters, detabbing and 'paragraphizing'. The supplied conversion tables may be tailored by the end user. Latest version is now updated to use the Choices$ variables for its options-file handling. (31-Dec-01)
Joystick module for I/O Podule:
The Joystick module (5K) was written for the original Acorn I/O Podule - it requires some messing around with a soldering iron and a understanding of electronics to get a joystick to work though. Source for the Acorn assembler is included.
The Maya Electronics Terminal Emulator:
This terminal emulator provides VT100, Textronix 4014 and ViewData emulation for the humble BBC. Supplied in the package are also the Kermit and XModem file transfer protocols, and a number of other goodies. The basic emulator is ROM based, but may be SRLOADED into sideways RAM. Supports TUBE.
ROM images, utilities and user documentation (84K)
Technical documentation (12K) is available for they who wants documentation not normally useful to end users.
The source code (190K) is written used the View wordprocessor, and requires access to a 6502 Second Processor and the ADE assembler if it is to be modified and rebuilt.
BBC B, BBC MASTER incl. 20MB HD and CUB colour monitor, 6502 2nd Processor, 32016 2nd Processor, Econet, assorted 310's and 410's, ColorCards, IEEE 4888 Interface, 4MB 386 Card, a bunch of AKA 25 Network interfaces, Podule prototyping card, Acorn HD I/F for A310, Qume LaserDirect + loads of documentation. Most of this lot has been rescued from the dustbin at work, and is still in fully functional order.
The old humble B acted as an Econet server for more than five years with as close to 100% uptime as you can get - impressing! (as far as I remember we once had a two day stop due to a power supply failure).
